Yeah, I know the Coconut Crab is a threatened species in some areas . I can’t believe the largest land crabs in the world started out cute as tiny Hermit crabs with borrowed snail shells. I now rarely see one bigger than a football cause that’s usually their size when we eat them and some of the locals used to think of it as pests. Their so delicious because aside from coconuts, they eat dead plant and animal matter. I wonder how the ones living under Nipa Huts taste like.. Yummy!
